Winter Yoga Retreat in Los Cabos

Baja, Mexico
w/ Shannon McCall
February 5 – 12, 2022

Join me for a renewing yoga and meditation retreat in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico.

February is a fantastic time to take a break from winter weather and travel to a warm beach to take in some sun, sea, and yoga practice with others.

Our venue is beautiful Prana del Mar on the pacific coast of Mexico. All rooms are on the beach, with the sea just steps away.

We’ll enjoy two yoga practices each day: the morning’s practice will include an energizing and purifying flow of postures. The late-afternoon practice will center on more introspective, slow, longer-held postures. Breath work and meditation will be included in each session. We’ll have the opportunity to come together a few times in the early mornings or evenings for group meditations on the beach, or satsangs — sharing depth, beauty and truth together.

Our retreat focus is building and nourishing ojas, our deepest vitality and immunity. Ojas is best supported by a mind free from worry and distress. By opening into the spaciousness of retreat and daily practice, we will court the conditions for our minds and hearts to unburden themselves revealing the ease of being that is our natural state. Our daily practices will support us in attuning to our real energy and nourishing it, rather than pushing to hard or burning out.

Your days can be spent at the oceanfront pool, on the sand, in the surf, or in a hammock. You can stay put for a week and simply unwind, rest, and play or you can take advantage of some of the local shopping in town, enjoy horseback riding, surfing, or other adventures at sea. We will help you coordinate with others to enjoy daily outings if you like, and we’ll be ready to receive you for afternoon practice at the end of each day.

The pace of the week is yours to create and follow. Those who wish to deepen their retreat may spend less time with outward activities even reading and writing, and more time simply lounging and being. Those wanting adventure and exploration will surely find it here.

The food will be freshly and lovingly prepared on-site. All the produce is purified and purified drinking water will be available on site.

Massage will be available on-site for an additional fee.

Shannon McCall
I teach practices that are foundational to good health and wellbeing for your body, mind and spirit.

For 35 years I have practiced and trained in yoga, authentic movement, meditation, western and eastern psychology, Ayurveda and the Diamond Approach. I am always learning and evolving–integrating what I learn into teachings to support those with whom I am honored to work. The real teacher is within. True healing comes from the inside out. My job is to help you identify and let go of all that no longer serves you.

I offer yoga classes, trainings, retreats, Ayurvedic consultations, and online courses in yogic and ayurvedic self-care. I specialize in women’s healthcare, but men are most welcome!

I have been blessed with many wonderful teachers in yoga and Ayurveda who have helped me understand myself, the world, and my place in it. I am most indebted to Dr. Vasant Lad, a true vaidya, who has shown me again and again that love is the true healer.

Speaking of love, I have traveled all over the South Pacific and Southeast Asia and spent many months a year on the island of Bali through the 90’s where I developed a very deep connection with the people of Sayan Village near Ubud. I am mother to a now grown son, who is also a trained yoga teacher.
