Escape to beautiful Baja, Mexico for an inspiring and uplifting beachfront yoga retreat benefiting Purple Dot Yoga Project. This project’s mission is to raise awareness about domestic violence and support and empower individuals affected by abuse using yoga practice and philosophy. Healing from trauma takes a tribe of support and your presence makes a difference!

 

Proceeds from the sale of this fundraising retreat go directly to Purple Dot Yoga Project to help support our healing programs for survivors. Deepen your yoga practice, dine on delicious gourmet cuisine, enjoy ocean-front eco-lux accommodations, relax in the sun and share heartfelt connection with yogis from all over the world. Rejuvenate while supporting a worthy cause.

 

Morning yoga practices will be a mix of dynamic, creative and soulful Vinyasa classes designed to uplift your spirit and enliven your body. Afternoon sessions will be a mixture of specialty workshops (including inversions, arm balances, backbends, and Primal Yoga® sessions) designed to take help you breakthrough limiting beliefs to access your greatest strength, confidence and personal power. Afternoon sessions may also include opportunities to deeply relax and unwind with gentle, healing restorative classes as needed.

 

Purple Dot Yoga Project
Purple Dot Yoga Project is a non-profit with a mission to raise awareness about domestic violence and relationship abuse and support and empower individuals affected by abuse using yoga practice and philosophy. We run free yoga and wellness programs for women living in shelters, offer one-on-one yoga sessions for survivors, hold community events to raise awareness about domestic violence, lead trauma-informed yoga teacher trainings, and host healing yoga retreats free-of-cost for survivors. Liz Arch
Liz is a yoga teacher, martial artist, speaker, certified life coach, Under Armour ambassador, and the creator of Primal Yoga, a dynamic yoga and martial arts fusion class designed to create balance, strength and synergy in our physical and emotional bodies. She has over 10 years of experience in various yoga and martial arts styles including Vinyasa Yoga, Kung Fu, Tai-Chi, Self Healing Qi Gong and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She holds multiple certifications in yoga and healing arts including a SmartFlow certification from Annie Carpenter, Yoga Tune Up certification from Jill Miller, and a Trauma-informed Yoga certification from Hala Khouri and Kyra Haglund.

 

Liz has trained celebrities, musicians and Olympic athletes, and travels the world leading teacher training programs, workshops, and sold-out yoga retreats. She was named one of the “100 Women to Watch in Wellness” in 2015 by MindBodyGreen and is a health and wellness expert for Under Armour’s Connected Fitness Team, which reaches a worldwide audience of over 169 million people.

 

She has graced the covers of international yoga magazines including Om Yoga Magazine, Yoga Life Magazine, and Yoga & Wellness Magazine; has been featured in Well+Good, Elle A Table Magazine, and Yoga Journal Russia; and has contributed as an online health and wellness expert to Self Magazine, MindBodyGreen, Elephant Journal and more.

 

She believes in the capacity of yoga to heal on both a physical and emotional level and draws upon her personal experience overcoming trauma and intimate partner violence to help others find support, empowerment and healing. She currently serves as the West Coast Director for The Purple Dot Yoga Project, a non-profit organization that raises awareness for domestic violence by supporting and empowering individuals affected by trauma and abuse through one-on-one yoga as well as trauma-informed yoga workshops and programs.
