I turned to yoga years ago as a means to improve my cycling performance. Physical results came quickly as I increased my strength, length, flexibility and breath control while shortening my recovery time from hard rides. That’s pretty much all I was looking for but then yoga’s life changing potential revealed itself to me through teachers that helped integrate asana, breath and awareness to gain insight into my life and purpose. Years of dedicated practice helped me understand inward directed energy and focus create a more content and peaceful existence. I have been most influenced by my family (particularly my granddaughters) and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Sarah Powers. I am grateful for the teachers in my life and the ancient practice of yoga. I’ll be teaching the more contemplative side of yoga, Yin and Nidra and Meditation in the Moon studio. I hope to share what I’ve learned with you.
Sarah Moslemi
Sarah began her career almost 20 years ago as a massage therapist and healer, simultaneously incorporating yoga into her life. The heat and movement of the practice captivated her! She continued to make bodywork, asana & breath a major part of her life. Yoga wasn’t just about physical flexibility, but it taught her life’s rules to live by. In 2009, she became a certified vinyasa and hot yoga instructor. Grateful for the teachings of Yoga to use breath to move through difficult postures on and off the mat, to stay flexible in mind and in body and the ability to bring volume and purpose to her voice by sharing her teachings as it parallels life so well. She is the owner of three Studio One Yoga locations and recently launched S1 Yoga’s RYT 200-Hour Teacher Training and S1 Yoga Retreats. This opportunity allowing her passion to grow her reach to influence and bringing Community’s together as One. She and her husband live in Stillwater, MN with their 5 children.
