Power of Yoga Retreat

Baja, Mexico
w/ Naushon Kabat-Zinn
April 16 – 23, 2016

Join Naushon for a week of rejuvenating beachside bliss at the beautiful and deluxe eco-resort Prana del Mar in Baja, Mexico. We will practice thriving by diving deep into our yoga and meditation practice, learning how to be more present and connected, and challenging ourselves to step into our own power and potential. We will also have fun in the process! Playing with shifting unhealthy habits and patterns and creating new and positive changes in our lives.

Every morning we will practice strong, fun, power vinyasa yoga beginning or ending with a guided mindfulness meditation. In the afternoons, we will have more time to workshop poses, answer questions, play with journaling & self-inquiry exercises, practice restorative poses, and meditate.

There will be twice-daily yoga classes, mindfulness meditation, workshops, a few restorative sessions, beach meditation, playing and resting by the pool, good people and conversations, quiet time for self-reflection and journaling, optional massages/spa services, as well as opportunities to go hiking, exploring, or simply lounge, read a good book, or take a nap.

Basically, you have permission to make each day as adventurous or as restful as you choose. Take this week to give yourself some time out of your busy life to enjoy being free from daily chores and stresses (no dishes! no cooking! no cleaning!), deepen your yoga and meditation practice, and enjoy the beauty and surroundings of the magnificent Baja Coast. Simply a rejuvenating and strengthening experience.

About Naushon
Naushon Kabat-Zinn has been studying yoga since she was a teenager. Her challenging, yet compassionate, Power Vinyasa Flow classes are a wonderful way to cultivate strength, serenity, flexibility and balance. Inspired by her studies with Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, Baba Hari Dass, and the teachings of Vispassana (Insight) Meditation, Naushon’s straightforward, authentic, and inspirational style emphasizes the linking of movement with breath, cultivating our ability to be more fully present and awake in our lives, and navigate the challenges that arise with more grace and kindness.

“”I have been teaching yoga for the past 13 years. For me, yoga is life-saving. It grounds me when I feel disconnected, overwhelmed, and stressed out, and gets me back in my body when I feel stuck in my head. But mainly, yoga gives me perspective, reminding me to wake up and enjoy this beautiful life that I have been gifted…and realize that this moment, right now, is enough.””

Naushon is based in Northern California and teaches public and private classes in Oakland and Berkeley. She also teaches retreats and workshops locally and internationally.
