Sara Strother
Sara’s dedication and enthusiasm for yoga creates a class experience where students can foster the best in themselves and cultivate awareness for living on a profound level.
Known for her attention to detail, challenging practices and poetic integration of yoga philosophy, Sara provides students with a rich experience and potent opportunities for growth physically and mentally. There is always direction to the movement in class; be it a pinnacle pose, working a key action, or contemplating a specific theme.
Sara began her regular practice of hatha yoga and meditation when she was 18 years old and just beginning college. Recognized in Chicago as an accomplished yoga teacher, Sara’s resume also includes teaching yoga in Japan for 2 years, online yoga classes, international retreats and has assisted master teacher trainings and immersions. In 2004 she was initially certified by the White Lotus Foundation and in 2009 was initiated as an Anusara Yoga teacher.
Always a student, Sara annually studies with her teachers Noah Maze, Sianna Sherman, and Darren Rhodes. Since 1999 Sara has been studying classical yoga philosophy and took up interest in Tantra in 2006. Sara receives her yoga dharshana from Christopher Hareesh Wallis, Christopher Tompkins, and Douglas R. Brooks.
Sara is E-RYT500 with Yoga Alliance.
Christina Corso
Christina is a passionate teacher and avid student of yoga who is motivated by the direct change that her practice has brought to her life both physically and mentally. A native New Yorker, Christina’s style is a combination of east coast vibrancy and Midwest earthiness. She considers her journey to be a lifelong experience and has been enlightened by the empowering nature of her practice.
In 2013 Christina completed her 500-hour teacher training with her teacher Noah Mazé at his Yogamazé school in Los Angeles California. She has also apprenticed with Noah and assisted him at yogaview in 2014. Christina studies and practices extensively with Sara Strother in Chicago, and has also experienced the in depth teachings of Darren Rhodes and a variety of other teachers. Although Christina has never directly studied with B.K.S Iyengar her teachings are directly influenced by his philosophy.
Christina’s classes revolve around intelligent and progressive sequencing. They are alignment based, dynamic, fun, and challenging. Come ready to unlock and engage your potential on and off of your mat.
