Allie Geer
Allie began her practice of yoga in 2006, after being involved in a traumatic car accident. Yoga and meditation proved to be an excellent way for her to handle both the physical and emotional pain caused by the accident. The following year, a trip to Thailand solidified her interest in yoga for therapeutic healing.
In 2011, Allie left the corporate world and moved to Switzerland, where she began to pursue her passion for therapeutic yoga. After meeting her teacher, Stephen Thomas, in Zurich, Switzerland she began to take an in-depth look at her practice and accompanied Stephen on a retreat to Bali, where she decided to pursue teaching yoga to others.
She completed a 200-hour intensive teacher training at Samahita Retreat Center in Thailand the following year, followed by an 80-hour prenatal yoga training with Sue Elkind, founder of DIG Yoga. Allie then went on to study with her current teacher, Tiffany Cruickshank, founder of Yoga Medicine, completing her 500-hour Advanced Training Certification in 2018. Allie is a Yoga Medicine Registered Therapeutic Specialist currently enrolled in the Yoga Medicine 1000-hour advanced teacher certification, and assists Yoga Medicine 500-hour trainings all over the world. Allie currently lives with her husband and 2 boys in Niwot, Colorado and teaches at the Hidden Yoga Studio.
