w/ Nicki Silverman & Dylan Sanders
April 6 – 11, 2019
Join Nicki & Dylan at Prana del Mar for a week of invigorating vinyasa yoga. We will incorporate our favorite movements, inversions, arm balances, and backbends into each led morning practice, and offer space for self-practice exploration each afternoon. By day, we will soak in the sun by the ocean, and enjoy delicious organic food and optional libations each night. We are thrilled to bring our friends from around the world together, create new relationships, and help reignite your love for the practice!
Although our practices are independent, we create spontaneous communities as our yoga paths cross. We thrive off one another’s energy and support on our journeys towards justice, peace, and equality.
Through the physical practice, Nicki & Dylan have gathered a wealth of knowledge and developed friendships across the globe. This retreat will reinvigorate your physical practice while promoting new relationships from around the world.
Nicki & Dylan are thrilled to build a genuine yoga community at Prana del Mar.

As a native Californian, Nicki couldn’t be happier to be a part of the original team to open and teach at Commune Yoga in her home state.
Her classes are a blend of fluid movement, unique mobility, and fiery strength. She aims to keep things interesting and believes that we humans are far more capable than we often given ourselves credit for. Her signature giggle might show up at some point in class as she highly encourages a sense of lightness and grace in tricky transitions.
After 200 hours of vinyasa training in 2014, Nicki hasn’t left her mat much, continuing education hours with Patrick Beach, Carling Harps, David Regelin, Simon Park, and Meghan Currie to name a few. She grew accustomed to teaching to large class sizes and workshops while living in Nashville, where she helped manage one of the busiest studios in town, then switched things up for island life to teach small groups and private sessions while living on Maui last year. Now based in sunny Southern Cal, Nicki remains dedicated to her full-time craft, and is excited for continued exploration in each new opportunity.

In 2009, I attended my first yoga class at the University of Denver with some fraternity brothers. As the others quickly stopped going, I kept yoga in my back pocket as a good balance for the workouts and general physical upkeep from a life ice hockey, skiing, and the typical stupidity of a young man.
In late 2012, I first began to explore yoga as more than just a workout. I was working in the music business, overly stressed, and generally unhappy. As I began to explore new life for my worn down muscles and joints, and attack some of the pains I’d built up over the years, I discovered ways to deal more mindfully with my stress and other repressed emotions.
My passion for yoga eventually drove me to leave the music industry. In February 2014, I had the pleasure of spending a month at Asheville Yoga Center, where I began initial teacher training. While I wouldn’t confine my vinyasa style into a singular category, it is influenced by my background as a student of prana vinyasa, Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga, dabblings in yin and restorative, and the creative sequencings of my most appreciated teachers. My classes will give students space to invite, create, and unite their intentions to their daily practices.
I am a Nashville native, passionate music fan, reader of endless books, University of Alabama football fan, and happy to live this life that has taken me from Nashville to Colorado to Maui and now Los Angeles where I teach and manage at Commune Yoga.
